D-DAY (Agust D)
2023 · Studio album · Solo — Suga / Agust D
About the album
D-DAY is Suga's debut full-length studio album, released April 21, 2023, and the closing chapter of the Agust D trilogy. "People Pt. 2" featuring IU was the pre-release single; "Haegeum" — built around the traditional Korean string instrument of the same name — became the album's lead.
Thematically the album wraps up the trilogy's arc: where Agust D was anger and D-2 was reflection, D-DAY is closer to acceptance. "Amygdala" is the most personally direct track, a confession-style song about long-term anxiety; "Snooze" — featuring the late Ryuichi Sakamoto in one of his last collaborations — is the gentlest closer.
The supporting tour, Suga | Agust D Tour 'D-Day', was the first solo BTS world tour. Sequences in the gallery for D-DAY are heavier in number than the earlier mixtapes because they had real touring footage to reference.
