About the album
GOLDEN is Jungkook's debut solo studio album, released November 3, 2023, and BTS's most overtly mainstream-pop solo project to date. The whole album is in English; the title nods to his "golden maknae" nickname inside the group.
It was set up by three pre-released singles: "Seven" (June 2023), "3D" (October 2023), and the album-launch "Standing Next to You". "Standing Next to You" is the funk-driven Michael-Jackson-energy track that anchors the live performances; "Seven" was the song of summer 2023 globally for a reason.
Because Jungkook enlisted in December 2023 — about a month after the album dropped — there was no supporting tour. The choreographed performances that exist (Times Square, GMA, year-end stages) are the references most ARMYs build sequences from. Gallery sequences for GOLDEN tend to lean gold and white, mirroring the album's visual identity.
