Happy (Jin)

Happy is Jin's debut EP, released November 15, 2024 — five months after his discharge from the military and a year before his first solo tour. The lead is "Running Wild", a sun-bright pop-rock track that sets the tone for the rest of the EP: deliberately uplifting, vocal-led, no overcomplication.

It's the most straightforward solo BTS release in some ways. Jin himself described the EP's brief as wanting to give ARMY "something happy after a long absence" — and the tracklist follows through: "I'll Be There" is the bouncy reassurance song, "Heart on the Window" with Wendy is the duet ballad, and the rest stay in the same warm zone.

Sequences for Happy in the gallery skew yellow and white; the choreographed bits of "Running Wild" are friendly to first-time sequence designers — the cues are large and timed to obvious chord changes.
