About the album
Layover (stylised "Layo(v)er") is V's debut EP, released September 8, 2023 just before he enlisted. The whole project was produced in collaboration with Min Hee-jin (then ADOR's CEO, the creative force behind NewJeans) and feels distinct from anything else in the BTS solo catalogue — softer, less hook-driven, almost entirely vocal-led R&B and jazz.
Every song on the EP got its own music video, which is part of why Layover feels more like a six-track film than a record. "Slow Dancing" is the title track and the most-played; "Blue" and "Rainy Days" are the deeper-cut favourites; "For Us" closes the EP with a deliberately quiet warmth.
Sequences in the gallery lean heavily into blue and warm-amber palettes — the official MVs use those colours so consistently that ARMYs designing sequences typically just match them.
